That is out of my scope of practice. However, I do offer support and help in bringing your awareness, growth and empowerment forward. I use somatic experiencing and other modalities, which creates awareness in deep and meaningful ways; helping you to manifest your true desires.
Personal Yoga Instruction
The word yoga (meaning yolk ~ unity/center) describes a variety of Hindu practices developed in ancient India to unify body and mind with universal spirit, thereby encouraging physical and mental well-being. Yoga most commonly involves a series of stretching postures (called asanas), breathing exercises, and meditative practices. Diet is also considered important to this discipline. Yoga increases flexibility, improves muscle tone, and is helpful in the reduction of stress. (Description - from ABMP)
I have been doing hatha yoga since I was a young girl, and then studied other forms of yoga as an adult. In a session, I may show you different yoga postures to help relieve discomfort physically and/or energetically. Freeing the flow of these blockages will help promote greater health. I may also introduce Yoga Ball or Core Ball exercises which promote strength and balance; stabilizing your core muscles and center. In physical therapy, I learned that I was too flexible in some areas where my muscles were not strong enough (because of an injury) to support my hatha yoga practice. Doing core ball training brought unity to my hatha yoga practice where I had the strength to do postures without pain during, and after my practice. You too can benefit from these practices.
Meditation Guidance
When I was young, and would walk in the woods, there was usually a place where I would stop, sit and just be. Later I found out this was called meditation. There are many forms of meditation. I can help you find the meditation that is best for you, and help you through the initial process. There are abundant health benefits to beginning and staying with a mediation practice, and it is my belief that if everyone had a meditation practice this world would be highly functional and much more peaceful.
Guided Visualization & Hypno-visualization
Guided imagery also known as visualization, is a relaxation system utilizing imagination and thoughts to improve one's physical, mental, and emotional health. Often involving a process of listening to music or a person's voice, the participant can take hold of imagery, symbols, and deep feelings to stimulate the body's immune system, fight disease, and improve their overall health. Many seriously ill patients have used this technique to imagine the destruction of their disease and/or disorder. (Description - from ABMP)
In addition, if requested, I will add healthy and agreed to suggestions into the visualization process. Hypnosis is a natural state of heightened awareness, deep relaxation and focused attention. All hypnosis is truly self-hypnosis and you can not be hypnotized without consent. The question is not can I be hypnotized, but can you be unhypnotized from your own self hypnosis and destructive thought process. Instructor Mac Fry Guided Visualization (Guided Imagery and Hypnosis) - Mueller College and Various Yoga Instructors
Breath Release Therapy
Breath Release Therapy is a powerful, ethereal healing experience. Relaxation and your full awareness of breathing quickens vital healing energy, making palpable our connection with our inner and outer harmony. Conscious rhythmic breathing awakens vital healing energies which recharges and cleanses your whole psycho-physical being. This helps us in the process of healing past traumas, and creates a more organized nervous system by releasing these frozen traumas.
Contact Improvisation
(dance flow facilitation and movement)
Dance/movement therapies focus on personal expression to enhance emotional and psychological healing. (Description - from ABMP) - I have incorporated Contact Improv into my touch therapy. Contact Improv is described as a moving massage in dance. It is a dance that fine tunes and enlivens your senses and heightens your ability to listen, be present, and respond to subtle (to large) body movements. Partners roll, spiral, lift and enjoy the ride. Life Long Dance Experience & Various Instructors.
Enliven Your Senses
Sound Therapy
Using the media of sound (music, tones, vibrations, etc.) as a tool for healing, sound therapy enables the realignment of natural body rhythms. Therapy may include, but is not limited to, the use of tibetan singing bowls, chimes, acutonic tuning forks, rattles, and drums. Healing sounds create balance and alignment in the physical body, the energy centers (chakras), and/or the etheric fields. It is a vibration applied by an instrument or the human voice, and can be understood as a field of energy medicine. Integrate into your session (Description - from ABMP) - Mueller program and yoga practice.
Color Therapy
An ancient system using specific color rays to treat the body and mind, color therapy is based on the notion that organs and systems vibrate at certain frequencies. By applying a particular color ray on an area, the correct vibration bringing with it health will be restored. Aromatherapy
The use of essential oils (which are extracted from herbs, flowers, resin, woods, and roots) in body and skin care treatments is known as aromatherapy. Used as a healing technique for thousands of years by the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans, essential oils aid in relaxation, improve circulation, and help the healing of wounds. Aromatherapy diffusers are utilized to fill the massage room with the scent of the oils. Specific essential oils are blended to a carrier oil, such as almond oil, to be used during the massage. Each of the oils has its own unique characteristics and benefits. Integrate into your session (Description - from ABMP) Instructor Kathy Padecky Mueller College Teacher's Aid

Magnet Therapy
The therapeutic use of magnets may be older than acupuncture, originally involving a material called magnetite applied in a poultice. Today's magnet therapy is still applied to the skin, but employs steady or pulsed magnetic fields from either electromagnets or less powerful permanent magnets. Fixed magnets may also be taped to the body for a period of time. Magnet therapy is used to relieve pain and discomfort and to aid in healing with a variety of physical and emotional disorders, such as arthritis and stress. Treatment may be administered by the therapist or, as in the case of taped magnets, by the client. (Description - from ABMP) Integrate into your session- $20 extra charge for the magnetic bed per session
Healthy Living & Ayurvedic Applications
After years of studying nutrition on my own, I decided to include nutrition in my double major, psychology being my first major. During my studies in performance/sports nutrition, I temporally applied a couple principles, I had learned that semester, into my life and exercise. I lost 23 pounds of fat that semester and felt energized and fit. Later I gained the fat back; feeling tired and unsatisfied.
I now know healthy living is a way of thought, feeling, and life. It is not merely nutrition and exercise. It is related to how we feel and think; how we relate to food, exercise and ourselves.
Food is a source of energy, and is meant to be a source of enjoyment and health. Unfortunately, many people have developed a negative relationship with food. With a healthy viewpoint and steps which you can introduce into your life, you can create a positive and rewarding relationship with food.
We consume our calories from: fat, carbohydrates and protein. Depending on what fade diet is popular at the time, people are usually singling out one of these nutrients as the enemy, and starving themselves from the much needed balance that nature intended.
We each need to be aware of our own needs, predispositions, environments, and lifestyles in order to develop healthy eating and lifestyle. The fact is, the exact proportions of nutrients will vary from person to person. There is no one diet that fits all people at all times. Imagine the differences between traditional Eskimos where their diet consisted of mostly fat laden meat, having no history of heart disease or cancer, and then comparing them to the people in tropical cultures eating mostly fish, fruits and vegetables, and also being abundantly healthy.
The scientific approach to diet now realizes the importance of whole, unprocessed foods for better health. The Ayurvedic approach has taken this approach for thousands of years, eating complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats and proteins from mostly plant sources.
Ayurveda is the oldest known system of medicine, meaning "Science of Life." It is more like a way to live in harmony with who you are and your environment. Being connected to the earth, our food, the elements, and other people is where harmony creates greater health.
Originating in India, Ayurveda recognizes the physical characteristics and personality types of people, and classifies them into three major groups called doshas: kapha, vata, and pitta. In addition, foods are classified into three groups: sattvic, tamasic, and rajasic. These foods tend to purify, dull, and to stimulate.
As chronic diseases continue to proliferate, we need to be aware of not just what we eat, but how and when we eat food. The fast food, “hustle bustle” way of life is causing us to eat when we are stressed, unconnected with the food we are putting into our bodies, and is creating disease.
There are steps we can take to become more harmonious in our lives. Let me show you how to improve your connection with life's nourishing gifts!
